2020 Year in Review and Our Plans for 2021
2020 was a difficult year but we managed to continue to support the education of our 43 children:
- Primary Level: 20 students
- Secondary Level: 20 students
- Institution and University Level: 3 students
We printed learning materials for all our children and they have been kept busy during the time of lockdown. This has helped them to remain disciplined. We also provided them with food in their homes along side the elders.
During the festive season; we split in groups of three to meet more children. We all advocated for a better life for every child. We cooked food for some children from their areas and also blessed others with Christmas gifts in villages around Bugembe. We provided sandals, shoes and clothing.
In January 2021, Ronald was elected for Lord Councilor for Bugembe. The Lord has been faithful to grant him his heartfelt desire for leadership.
As we reflect on last year, we see that our strategy to start a poultry farm was a wise decision. We have generated funds to support our activities, though not on a wide scale. In 2021, we therefore want to start farming, growing maize and beans for sale and consumption. This is another prayer request, so we can obtain seeds and other materials needed for a start. This will also teach our children the skills of agriculture and help them to be better prepared for life.
